The King Abdullah Institute for Research and Consultation Studies (KAI) is the business arm, contractual front and the entrepreneurial centre for King Saud University, the oldest and largest university in the Kingdom. KAI is the establishment in charge of organizing and offering the research, consultations and other academic and scientific services to different beneficiary entities. KAI was established on the 13th,March, 1997 pursuant to the Royal Endorsement by King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, the Head of the Supreme Higher Education Council, of the procés-verbal of the High Education Council in its fifth session on the 14th, September, 1996. The endorsement was received through the Royal Cable N. 7/b/16785 on the 13th, March, 1977. KAI was born out of the realization of the need bridge the divide between academic research and the entrepreneurial application. It offers research and consultation services to all public and private establishments, local or regional.
