Since its establishment, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has had a significant impact on the development and organization of the cities of the Kingdom and the upgrading of the urban environment of the population of cities and regions through the ministries and municipalities departments of the Ministry. The Royal Decree No. 1320/1430 AH on the role of the Ministry in developing plans for the leadership of development in the Kingdom, but to emphasize this prominent role of the Ministry and its organs and the vision of the outstanding leadership of the wise God. In response to the Secretariat developed strategic plans to determine the direction of work within time frames and financial resources contribute to the implementation of these Strategies.
