H.E. The Italian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Mario Boffo received Mr. Faisal Alfadl the Secretary General of Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF). They exchanged cordial talks and discussed common interest issues . The meeting was a practical step towards promoting educational events to encourage business cooperation such as consulting, contracting and educational institutions between Italy and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi-Italian (SI) Green Building aims to bring into the world a creative work done by Saudi and Italian experts to help students understand particularly the topic of Green Building and sustainability. It is intended to look into the challenges of applying sustainability issues through the development of renewable energy, water management, eco-friendly building materials and sustainable urban development/smart growth, as well as, to create a future with better life quality.

Eng. Bandar Raies, Chairman of the Committee Conferences of SGBF, says “SGBF was honored to be received by the Ambassador of Italy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia”, he added, “The SI Green Building event will focus directly on important aspects of Green Building cooperation, giving special attention to the need to work and to exchange ideas with Saudi–Italian organizations, including those in construction material and innovation.”

The target of the event is to continue proselytizing on sustainability. The objective is developed through the involvement of the younger generation, who can study these issues and develop an architectural competition.

In the last few years, SI Green Building innovation and technology have been developing an important and significant cultural and economic exchange about sustainability. One example is the initiative of Green Building in Saudi Arabia, which promotes employment opportunities and projects investment showcase on sustainability at an international and regional level.
