The two-day event organized by the Dubai Press Club was attended by high-profile speakers and senior delegates, and media professionals from Arab countries to debate, discuss and deliberate upon issues relevant to daily life.
Addressing the opening session of the event, Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) and Chairperson of AMF Organizing Committee Mona Al Marri welcomed Shaikh Mohammed and the participants in the forum, which will conclude tomorrow with the distribution of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Arab Journalism Awards. She said that the event explored the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Arab media.
Al Marri stressed that AMF, since its launch 14 years ago, has retained a clear approach throughout its journey, hoping to reach the best possible formula in dealing with the reality of our media in an effective manner that guarantees its evolution.
She pointed out that this year's AMF features comprehensive workshops and discussions that highlight critical current issues that face the Arab World, and the ability and role of the media to achieve its goals and missions in addressing such issues and conflicts. by khaleejtimes
