The Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (Taqeem) continues its necessary training courses for getting its temporary membership to the Valuers in the real estate valuation filed. The first course which is specialized in the curriculum 101 starts on 24th of January 2016 in Riyadh, and lasts for 5 days. The same course starts in Al-Qassim on 31th of January, and lasts for 5 days, as well as the expropriation and the economic business valuation courses, which are held respectively.
Starting from the beginning of the new year, the Authority put the ministerial resolution no. 531, dated (3/6/1435H) into force, which issues the necessity of the real estate Valuers who have the right to practice the profession to get its temporary membership. Since the 1st of January 2016 no one has the right to practice the real estate valuation under any reason without getting the membership.
Regarding the implementation of this resolution , Mr. Essam Al-Mubarak, the Secretary General of the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers explains saying: “no doubt that the implementation of the resolution regarding getting the temporary membership for the real estate Valuers is very important for many reasons, because it falls within the Authority's objectives, which aim at the advancement of the valuation profession and the development of the real estate sector and other basic economic sectors in the country on one hand , and it preserves the rights of citizens, as well as the financing authorities at the same time on the other hand”.
Al-Mubarak adds: “the Authority membership requires set of conditions and requirements, which we contribute in facilitating getting them for all the applicants, and approving their applications, then adopting their valuations by the official authorities , and according to the top of real estate employees in the Saudi market and the observers of it , this resolution will be the basic effective tool, which leads to achieving the success in the real estate system in the kingdom, which confirms that we are on the right direction”.
Regarding the activities of the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers in 2015, the Secretary General clarifies that they launched a website specialized in the registration of all Authority's courses, and activities, and applying to its exams. It is Qema website, which saves trainees’ efforts and time, and organizes their activities and documents them. He emphasizes that the people interest in that courses increased gradually during the months of the year, as 30 courses were held in 9 different Saudi cities, and they were attended by 954 trainees.
The Authority established set of strategic relations with many specialized valuation authorities around the world, like the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), which the result of the cooperation with it was the preparation of the curriculum of specialized courses to qualify the Valuers, who want to participate in valuation committees for the expropriation of real-estate for public utility and temporary seizure of property. That courses were held in Riyadh and Jeddah, and gained the encouragement of the participants from the governmental and private authorities equally.
The Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers determines in the beginning of 2016 to go on in organizing the process of real estate valuation, and economic business valuation, with the coordination with Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), and other authorities, taking advantage from the experiences of the leading countries in this field.
