A total of 900 housing units were distributed to deserving families within a housing project established in Hafr Al-Batin.
The project was inaugurated Wednesday by Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif and Minister of Housing Majid Al-Hogail.
The 1,159,958 square meter project includes a number of utilities that meet the needs of beneficiaries including mosques, schools, health, security, entertainment and commercial centers, along with all water, electricity and communication networks. The project is an innovative scheme where the various services and facilities are carefully distributed, with 500 square meters for each dwelling.
Prince Saud said: “This project comes within the ongoing services projects that are implemented in the eastern region in order to achieve sustainable development and provide for all the needs of citizens in various fields, according to the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.”
He said the Hafr Al-Batin project meets part of the housing support needs at the province level, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Housing and its programs aimed at providing adequate housing for all citizens.
Al-Hogail said: “The project serves 900 families registered on the electronic residential support portal, and fulfills the conditions of entitlement and priority.”
The minister said that the Hafr Al-Batin project comes within a variety of projects in Dammam, Alkhobar, Al-Ahsa and Qatif which are mostly complete in preparation for their allocation in accordance with established procedures, with the aim of providing high-quality adequate housing for all citizens at an adequate price. The Ministry of Housing has launched a number of programs and initiatives, thus developing and supporting the sector, enabling all citizens to acquire adequate housing, the official said.
Al-Hogail said that the ministry began allocating 100,000 residential units to beneficiaries in all regions of the Kingdom this month, stressing the continuation of the ministry to pump more projects and programs to support the sector, which will facilitate the possession of adequate housing for all categories.
