Robot to provide truck drivers with regular feedback on their performance

FMS Tech., a global telematics system provider, is highlighting the importance of road safety with the launch of the new Driver Merit System Robot (DMS Robot) for commercial fleets at ADIPEC 2016, which will be taking place in Abu Dhabi convention centre from 07–11 November. Through their participation at the event, FMS Tech. aims to encourage truck and heavy vehicle drivers to improve their performance and simplify the way managers monitor and manage their fleets. The DMS Robot acts as a software consultant; it gives transparent and accurate feedback on the drivers’ performance and rewards them for good driving. This comes in line with FMS Tech.’s goal to improve road safety and help fleet managers save time and cut down on costs with accurate and transparent information that will support their business’ bottom line.

Bassam AlKassar, CEO of FMS Tech., said: “With the FMS DMS Robot we closed all the gaps in our End-to-End solution. We are providing transport managers with accurate information, transparency, reporting and control on his fleet and drivers. With the FMS DMS Robot, the driver will receive feedback in a proactive approach rather than post-accident approach in order to tackle road safety and reckless driving issues”.

The FMS DMS Robot is a kiosk machine similar to an ATM, which the driver can consult once or twice a month to take him through his driving performance. It will address the driver by using his name and will communicate in his preferred language. This forms a new approach to road safety that has never been commercially used. The new innovation will change the way managers tackle issues like high accident rates, reckless driving, traffic violations, time attendance and job completion in an appealing and warm approach.

FMS Tech will also be introducing the integration of the HID system, bringing secure identity technology to their platforms. Employees and drivers can use the same RFID (HID secure card) to access the office building, as well as to drive their vehicle. In addition to re-introducing the FMS Journey Management, the platform that automates journeys plans and manages drives easier and more efficiently, giving fleet managers a higher level of security, transparency on the fleet’s performance, managing risks and reducing costs, as well as time.

“We strive to live in peace and security. As members of the business community, it is our social responsibility to adopt what is beneficial and crucial in improving the way we live and drive; it is everyone’s responsibility, not just toward our family and our kids and friends, but to every other human being”, added Bassam AlKassar.
