Jawaher Al Qasimi Issued Administrative Decision To Appoint Board Of Trustees Of Rubu’ Qarn | For Creating Future Leaders

 

The Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, issued an administrative decision to appoint the Board of Trustees of the Rubu’ Qarn | For Creating Future Leaders. Established in September 2016, Rubu’ Qarn is an umbrella organisation of four Sharjah-based government entities, the Sharjah Children Centres, the Sharjah Youth Centres, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and the Sharjah Tatweer Forum.

 

It aims to create a generation of Emirati leaders and innovators who are able to inspire and build a better future for UAE and the region while adhering to Arab and Islamic values and international commitment to humanity. The administrative decision appointed members of the Board of Trustees to compile relevant strategic plans for the four entities to enable them to support and empower the youth for the benefit of the UAE and beyond.

 

The directives highlight the importance of helping children and young people to broaden their horizons, develop their capabilities, and increase their knowledge to build a generation of leaders who can make positive changes that best serve society.

 

The Board of Trustees of Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Leaders consists of successful leaders who have had experience with children and youngsters throughout their professional careers, including; Colonel Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman Al Noman, Noura Al Noman, Erum Mazher Alvie, Jassem Mohammed Al Baloushi, Reem BinKaram and Aisha Khalid Al Qasimi.

 

Colonel Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman Al Noman, Secretary General of Sharjah Sports Club (SSC), and one of the youngest sports managers who has worked in many sporting institutions. He is a Colonel at Sharjah Police Headquarters and gained his Bachelor’s Degree in Law in Police Sciences in 2005, and his Master’s Degree in Police Sciences – Crisis and Disasters Management in 2005. He served on the Board of the Youth centers and greatly contributed to its development. He is a former member, then Secretary and Deputy Chairperson of the UAE Karate and Taekwondo Federation 2008. He was appointed as a Board Member of Sharjah Youth Centres in 2013.

 

Noura Al Noman, Chairperson of the Executive Office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi, graduated from the United Arab Emirates University gaining a degree in English Literature in 1986, and a Master’s Degree in Translation from the American University of Sharjah in 2004. She worked as an Assistant Manager at the Sharjah Ladies Club and was a Founding Member of the Sharjah Tatweer Forum. She served on the Board of The Youth Centers and is on the Board of University of Sharjah.  She has written many science fiction novels, and was awarded the Medal of Excellence in 2007 for her outstanding efforts in developing leaders and contributions to Sharjah by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi.

 

Erum Mazher Alvie has served in different capacities at the Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) which included her appointment as SLC Manager. She moved to the Executive Office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi in 2010, where she launched many initiatives that followed the vision of Her Highness’s organisations. She served on the Board of Children's Centers and oversaw the creation and development of the new identity of Sajaya. She graduated from Smith College, USA with honours, gaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Art. In recognition of her efforts and contributions, she was awarded the Medal of Excellence in 2007.

 

Jassem Mohammed Al Baloushi, Member of the Sharjah Consultative Council, Chairman of the Sharjah Tatweer Forum and Head of the Retail Banking Group at Sharjah Islamic Bank, encouraged young men to work in the private sector. He contributed to spreading a culture of Islamic and knowledge-based economies based on targeted research and development. He is a Member of the Board of Directors at Sharjah Youth Centres and is tasked with discovering and developing youth talents. He is also on the Board if Sharjah Tatweer Forum and a Member of the Advisory Board of Community Collage at the University of Sharjah and Member of the Board of Directors at the Sharjah Islamic Financial Services. He has held many posts in Etisalat Telecommunication Corporation and won several awards in telecommunication and banking.   

 

Reem BinKaram graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a degree in ‎Interior Design in 2002. She began her career with the civil aviation sector, and worked in Dubai Airports as well as the BinKaram Group. She is a member of the Sharjah Tatweer Forum, and Head of the Pink Caravan Event Committee. She has been a Board Member of the Sharjah Children Centres since 2013, and due to her outstanding management skills, she was appointed the Director of SCC. She has succeeded in following the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, which aims to provide children with premium services that meet and exceed their aspirations. 

 

Throughout her career, Aisha Khalid Al Qasimi, Director of Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, developed the talents of Emirati girls, honed their skills and prepared them for the future. She contributed to the development of Sajaya both in its new identity, new headquarters and emblem in February 2015, under the patronage and in the presence of the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs. The Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah operated with a deeper vision and supreme mission driving the development of girls in Sharjah and the UAE.

 

Aisha is an English Literature graduate from University of Sharjah, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Aisha Al Qasimi was appointed as Assistant Director of Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah – formerly, Sharjah Girls Centres – in March 2013, and became the organisation's Director in March 2015. Her academic credentials include certificates from Sharjah Leadership Program (SLP) from Sharjah Tatweer Forum in 2014 and Management Development.

 

The Rubu’ Qarn | For Creating Future Leaders is a first-of-its-kind entity at the local and regional level that seeks to build and develop youth over a period of 25 years. The creation of Rubu’ Qarn is regarded as particularly significant because it aims to focus on multiple areas and develops a wide range of skills and capabilities that contribute to building knowledge-based generations who enjoy creating, shaping and developing the future.
