As part of a series of concerted efforts to promote the Arabic language and instil a love of reading in all segments of society, Kalimat Group, a regional frontrunner in the field of Arabic literature publishing and distribution, has participated in the 60th edition of the Beirut International Arab Book Fair (BIABF), which runs from December 8-14 in the Lebanese capital.
Kalimat Group is making use of its participation in the prestigious BIABF platform to showcase a selection of its new literary titles, and conduct engaging and interactive storytelling sessions for children during the course of the fair.
Tamer Said, Managing Director of Kalimat Group noted that Kalimat’s Group participation at the BIABF is a crucial propeller, driving Kalimat’s efforts to establish itself as a known regional and international publishing group with a considerable recall value in the Arabic publishing industry. Tamer also expressed keenness in reaching out to a wider audience in the region through Kalimat’s presence at array of Arab and international book fairs.

Kalimat Group’s participating stand at BIABF is witnessing a high footfall of Lebanese fair-goers as well as visitors of other nationalities, many of whom are bringing their children to take part in the reading sessions delivered by writers Fatima Sharafeddine, Samar Mahfouz Barraj and Sanaa Chibani, who are reciting a selection of engaging and short stories for kids.
Since its inception, Kalimat Group has published more than 350 quality Arabic e-books and printed titles. In addition to its prodigious high quality output for children, the group has established new imprints and subsidiary companies operating under its umbrella that are dedicated to the adolescent and adult genres.
