Commenting on organising the activities at Sharjah International Book Fair, Dr. Hissa bin Masoud, Director of Dubai Public Library at Dubai Culture, said: "Participating in events like this reflects our institutional vision to enhance the cultural, literary and artistic scene in the UAE, and our commitment to spreading a love of reading among all members of society. This is underpinned by our dedication to achieving the objectives of our leadership’s National Strategy for Reading 2016-2026, which aims to make reading a way of life in Emirati society, to inspire a love of knowledge and continuous learning among all citizens and residents of the UAE, and to instil a culture of reading in family members, students and employees."
Dubai Culture’s participation emphasises its important role in contributing to the dissemination of culture and the development of knowledge among members of the community. The Authority achieves this by presenting collections of books, publications and applications, in addition to enriching its participation in a variety of programmes and events that are beneficial to all members of the community.
