SEC volunteer program helps promote safety

The Saudi Electricity Company’s program “Alkahraba Friend” has attracted thousands of Saudi and expat volunteers and encouraged them to report any observations regarding electricity safety by sending a WhatsApp message to 0533991100 or on alkahrabafriend on Twitter.

The response came during the first two-day Saudi forum for volunteerism.

The Alkahraba Friend program has encouraged volunteerism since it takes less than a minute to report an observation on electricity safety, said vice president for liaison and public relations at SEC Hamoud Al-Ghubaini.

He said the SEC takes immediate action on the reports by dispatching technical teams to the sites.
