Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman is scheduled to layout the roadmap for the Kingdom’s domestic and foreign policies during his inauguration of the 3rd year of the Shoura Council’s 7th session on Monday.
In a statement on this occasion, Chairman of the Shoura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Asheikh said the Council is looking forward to the King’s speech which will set the guidelines for its deliberations.
Deputy Chairman of the Shoura Council Dr. Abdullah Bin Salim Al-Maatani praised the support provided by the King and the Crown Prince, considering the Shoura Council as one of the pillars of the State that contributes to enacting the regulations.
Al-Maatani said: “Aside from defining the domestic and foreign policies, the King’s speech will focus on the Kingdom’s stand on various issues and specify the goals and programs the State is aspires to achieve.”
The Shoura Council, with its 24 committees, is working diligently in supporting the flurry of economic, political and cultural activities the Kingdom is witnessing, he said.
Assistant Chairman of the Shoura Council Dr. Yahya Al-Samaan said the King’s speech will also set guidelines for various sectors.
Shoura Council Secretary General Muhammad Al-Mutairi and Shoura members Dr. Abdullah Bin Zein Al-Otaibi, Dr. Faisal Aal-Fadil, and Dr. Maadi Aal Mudhib focused on the Kingdom’s regional and global status, the tremendous economic achievements, strong and stable economy, investments, regional and global challenges of concern, general and comprehensive reform steps, Haramain Train and expansion of the two holy mosques.
