The Chief Executive Officer of Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC), Mr. Yasser AlSharief, has won the TOP CEO award, which was presented during a ceremony hosted by Trends magazine and ANSEAD School of Business at Al Areen Resort in Bahrain.
The prestigious win was based on the company’s strong financial results among companies listed in the GCC stock market, adding one more award to JODC’s local and regional accolades in a number of fields.
AlSharief participated in the TOP CEO Forum held in Bahrain recently, where he was a member of a panel discussion titled ‘Do structural reforms contribute to investment promotion?’, along with Dr. Simon Galf, Director General of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, Mr. Ashraf Bseiso, CEO of Solidarity Holding Group, Mr. Walid Dawood, Director of KPMG of Lower Gulf Limited, while Frank Kane, a journalist from Arab News, moderated the session.
The panel participants discussed the development of reforms and changes in the region in order to compete with developed markets, including the future of systems in the region, the relationship between these systems, attracting foreign investment, and the cooperation of regulators with stakeholders in policy development.
The TOP CEO Forum and Awards is considered an open dialogue platform involving leaders, top executives and government officials who gather to discuss issues of change in the region, identify the expected impact of these issues, and explore how best to prepare their facilities to face the future while benefiting from the expected transformation. The forum includes open and closed dialogue sessions that allow participants to discuss the issues in depth and to present different ideas and perspectives.
