Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has provided SR100 million to the platform of Joodeskan, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Joodeskan is under the supervision of the National Housing Development Association, which aims to support and help needy families in the housing sector.
Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, has also made a contribution of SR50 million to the platform.
The royal gesture provided a fillip to the social role in accelerating the development through new integration models in which governmental, charitable and commercial entities are integrated. This is through Jood Housing platform, (https://joodeskan.org.sa) which is a national initiative aimed at governance of charitable funding for housing and facilitating allotment of housing units to the needy families. The platform also seeks to diversify housing solutions through support tracks that will allow the shareholder to determine the type of contribution, both in kind and in cash, through electronic payment channels. This will help enable and motivate society to increase the contribution of the non-profit sector to GDP, making it reach five percent by 2030.
The platform provides the society, including individuals and organizations, with the opportunity to extend charitable and housing assistance to the needy and poor. It also aims to increase family stability and activate the partnership and integration between government bodies and private and commercial sectors in supporting poor people in the housing sector.
