Saudi Camel Federation, Taif University sign MoU

Prince Abdul Aziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, chairman of the General Sports Authority, witnessed on Saturday the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Saudi Camel Federation and Taif University.

The MoU aims to strengthen the partnership in the sport of camel racing between the university and federation, to exchange experiences and benefit from the common interest and growth of knowledge of both sides, through coordination and preparation to establish sessions and share studies with the university.

Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Musaed, president of the Saudi Camel Federation, signed the MoU with Dr. Saad bin Salem Al-Zahrani, representative of Taif University, at the InterContinental Hotel in Taif.

The MoU includes supporting community-based programs and establishing diverse initiatives, presenting public information support to cover programs, races and events and ensure their success, and benefit from both sides’ data to conduct academic and field research and studies in the field of the MoU, with emphasis on the data’s confidentiality and privacy.

The MoU covers both sides presenting information, expertise and advice, organizing information sessions and workshops, conducting surveys, case studies and feasibility studies.

It will also enable students to attend workshops organized by the federation and allow them to participate in its events and competitions, and to benefit from the federation’s information centers and their equipment while receiving delegations from abroad and introducing them to Taif’s relics and monuments, and to do marketing for the federation, translate its media content and employ modern techniques for the camels’ database.
