For the first time in Saudi Arabia and as part of Riyadh Season’s initiatives, Riyadh will witness an unprecedented parade festival on the 17th of October. Taking place at the Riyadh Boulevard zone, the parade will feature 25 show floats including some of the biggest global names participating in Riyadh Season, with more than 1,500 performers dressed in unique costumes, alongside motorcycle shows, fireworks, show floats among other types of surprises for the citizens, residents and visitors.
Riyadh Boulevard will light up its streets for an hour and a half with a carnival featuring international and artistic shows, which will create an attraction and generate an appeal for the visitors. The stands and parking lots – built specifically for this event – will open after the Maghreb prayer and the event will start at 9:00 pm. Following the parade festival, the zone will officially launch its F&B outlets, outdoor cinema, and fountain shows.
The entire area will be accessible to the audience who will be able to watch the show clearly from their places in the stands. A fireworks display will also take place near the area. The parade area will comprise several services, such as: prayer rooms, toilets, food trucks, first aid clinics, among others.
Spread over 400,000 sqm., the Riyadh Boulevard zone will feature nine activities for all age ranges, including opening parade, outdoor cinema, and a number of sports, music and entertainment activities, as well as a variety of restaurants. The Boulevard will also include three theaters, namely the 22,000-seat Mohammed Abdu Theater, the 6,000-seat Abu Bakr Salem Theater, and the 2,000-seat Baker Al Sheddi Theater.
The transition in the entertainment sector being witnessed in Riyadh, during Riyadh Season, has made the capital city the center of global attention, and the bridge between the east and the west. This was achieved with the direct support of H.E. Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and President of the Riyadh Season.
Additionally, Riyadh Season will play host to local, regional, and international visitors from October 11 until mid-December across 12 zones, namely 1- Riyadh Boulevard; 2- Riyadh Front; 3- Riyadh Car Show; 4- Riyadh Winter Wonderland; 5- Riyadh Stadiums; 6- Diplomatic Quarter; 7- Al Muraba’a; 8- Al Malaz; 9- Wadi Namar; 10- Nabd Al Riyadh; 11- Riyadh Safari; and 12- Riyadh Sahara.
