Under the patronage of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the High Commission For Industrial Security, the Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs Lieutenant-General Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani inaugurated today the Saudi International Conference for Industrial Safety and the accompanying exhibition, at the Ritz Hotel Carlton in Riyadh, in the presence of several local, regional and international specialists in industrial safety in the Kingdom.
The High Commission For Industrial Security, the organizer of the four-day conference, aims to achieve the aspirations of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to improve industrial safety measures and address risks and threats, by developing policies, plans, and technical, engineering and organizational instructions necessary to protect petroleum and industrial facilities, providing necessary means for industrial safety and preventing losses, reviewing the Kingdom’s leading role in enhancing the importance of industrial safety and the proactive role in preventing losses, transferring and exchanging knowledge and experiences between specialists in vital facilities and discussing ways of cooperation.
The conference includes five-panel discussions and workshops presented by international experts and specialists discussing several topics of interest to professionals in industrial safety and loss prevention, namely “Leadership and management in the field of safety, safe design and building code, Safety inspection and fire prevention, readiness and planning for emergencies and crisis management.” and business continuity.
