Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz stated that Saudi Aramco was able to add large quantities of proven reserves of gas and condensate in the unconventional Jafurah field, the Saudi News Agency (SPA) reported.
The additional quantities reached 15 trillion standard cubic feet of gas, and 2 billion barrels of condensate, the minister said, indicating that this achievement is a result of the application of the highest international standards in estimating and developing hydrocarbon resources in a manner that ensures good exploitation.
He pointed out that the quantities of resources in Jafurah field are now estimated at about 229 trillion standard cubic feet of gas, and 75 billion barrels of condensate, as a major independent consulting company specialized in the field of authentication on resources and proven reserves has approved the estimates of the resources and reserves of the field.
