Saudi government employees will receive a two-month salary bonus under a royal decree issued on Thursday by newly enthroned King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Two-month bonuses also await students currently receiving stipends from the government, as well as for retirees receiving pension, social security beneficiaries and physically challenged Saudis.
King Salman also granted a general pardon for selected prisoners, released SR 20 billion for electricity and water services and a SR10 million to each literary club in the Kingdom.
