3rd Annual GCC pharmacy Congress will start next week in Dubai

The 3rd Annual GCC Pharmacy Congress will start next week in Dubai, with the support of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention and the participation of H.E. Dr. Amin Al Amiri, Asst. Undersecretary of Public Health Policy and Licensing Sector, Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE. The congress will also be held in collaboration with the Al Ain University, Al Qassimi Hospital, American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), Bahrain Medical Society, Dubai Pharmacy College, Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Oman Pharmaceutical Society, Oman Pharmacy Institute, Ministry of Health, University of Sharjah, with the organisation of Maarefah Management, a worldwide event services company.
This year, the platform of the GCC Pharmacy Congress will gather experts from local and regional health authorities. Among the distinguished speakers will be Dr. Fatima Al Braiki, Group Pharmaceutical Director, SEHA Corporate, Dr. Ashraf Ismail, Managing Director Middle East, Joint Commission International, Dr. Faris Al Masri, Corporate Clinical Integration Administrative Partner, Corporate Medical Division, SEHA Corporate, Dr. Osama Tabbara, Senior Director of Pharmacy, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Nadir Kheir, Associate Professor, Coordinator of CPD of Healthcare Practitioners, Qatar University, Dr. Antoine Cherfan, Pharmacotherapy Manager, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Lana Hammad, Pharmacy Director, Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital, Dr. Fadi Alkhateeb, Director of Assessment and Accreditation Office and Associate Professor of Pharmacy Administration, Department of Pharmacy Practice, Rangel College of Pharmacy, Texas A&M University.
Among the other activities which will be held in the three days of the congress is to recognise the winner of the ‘Patient Care Awards’. This is a unique feature from Maarefah to distinguish the impressive work performed to improve patient-centred quality care through clinical practice, education and training.
