Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer celebrates a decade of success this month with Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort’s 10-year anniversary. Following a month of festivities, travellers to the French Riviera will also be able to enjoy a range of special packages and upgrades at the luxurious property as part of its ’10 Years of Cool’ offering.

Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer looks forward to the 10th Edition of the renowned Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival, which returns from 23 November to 6 December and will feature some of the brightest stars in the contemporary world of jazz.

Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival, 23 November – 6 December

The 10th edition of Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival will introduce the freshest talent and most renowned soloists the world has to offer.  The programme for 2015 revolves around all that jazz represents: life, joy and celebration, seeing the likes of Melody Gardot, Gregory Porter, Selah Sue, Paolo Conte and Barbara Hendricks performing at the sumptuous Opera Garnier, which has stood as a temple of music and art for more than a century.

From 23 to 28 November, for the opening week of the 10th edition, the Jazz Festival will welcome fresh young talents to the stage, including Manetti, Thomas Enhco, GoGo Penguin and Cory Henry, seen to represent the new generation of jazzmen. Alongside them each evening, audiences will reacquaint themselves with confirmed stars like Joshua Redman and Selah Sue. Considerable space will also be dedicated to artistic creation, with a first-time performance form Avishai Cohen, accompanied by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.  The opening week will end with an evening with Marcus Miller, who will be showcasing his new album ‘Afrodeezia’, with a band put together especially for the festival, which will include a number of African and Gnawa musicians.

The second week of the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival, from 3 to 6 December, will be devoted to the voices of jazz. Melody Gardot, Barbara Hendricks, Paolo Conte and Gregory Porter will be headlining, offering the first chance to see Mario Biondi, Hugh Coltman and Daby Touré, in addition to Kyle Eastwood.

Described as “the journey of vocal discovery”, Jean-Rene Palacio, artistic director at Monte-Carlo SBM explains the Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival as; “the chance for audiences to take a tour of the contemporary jazz world, from the big names to the young talents in a glorious homage to this musical genre. Vive le jazz!”

Tickets start from AED 210 (€ 50) to AED 335 (€ 80)
