The Scientific Research and Development Support Fund in Industry signed an agreement with the Royal Scientific Society and the Zayod Modern Automatic squwisser on Monday and by the support of the Higher Council for Science and Technology (SCST) fund for the project "to identify the compounds of phenols with health effect in Jordanian olive oil" in order to increase its competitive advantage in world markets. The agreement was signed by the Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Khaled Al-Shuraideh, and by the Vice President for Standardization and Technical Affairs, Eng. Tariq Abdul Aziz and Fayad Al - Zayod Automatic squwisser Director - General Engineer. Fund Manager, Rima Ras, said that the Fund has supported more than 400 projects since its establishment in order to support the national industries to reach a distinguished position in the local and international markets as a result of building bridges of communication between the research bodies and industrial institutions and encouraging creativity and solving technical problems which will positively affect the competitiveness of national products on one side and increasing the expertise of Jordanian researchers on the other.
