The Board of Directors of Agricultural Development Fund, headed by Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli has approved a number of financing loans worth SR 60 million.
The Board's Vice-Chairman, Director General of the Fund, Munir bin Fahd Al-Sahli said that these loans are for financing projects in several agricultural sectors, namely, the cultivation and production of vegetables in greenhouses and laying hens in several regions of the Kingdom.
He pointed out that this comes within the framework of one of the Fund's initiatives to mitigate economic effects of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), which is an initiative to support small and medium enterprises sector with an amount estimated at SR (450) million through the provision of direct and indirect operational loans to enhance the efficiency of the local agricultural sector and contribute to achieving food security.
