The Minister of Finance, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, will lead the Kingdom's delegation participating in the G20 Finance Ministers' Meeting which will be held in Washington on Thursday and Friday, 11 and 12, April 2019. Also, Al-Jadaan will lead the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the IMF and the World Bank Spring meetings in Washington on 12-14 April, 2019.
The meeting, which is represented by Ministers of Finance and Central Bank Governors, entails reviewing the current developments of the global economy, the future outlook, and discussion of a number of topics that relate to ongoing initiatives under the G20 agenda; these issues range from enhancing global financial inclusion, areas of financial innovation, investments in infrastructure, among other highly important topics to Saudi Arabia and its peer countries.
Japan will chair the meeting, represented by its Finance Minister, Taro Aso and the Governor of the Bank of Japan, Haruhiko Kuroda, as it is taking over the G20 presidency this year. The finance ministers meeting will be the first to be held before the G-20 leaders' summit in Osaka, Japan, in June.
