Minister of Transport and President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Sulaiman Alhamdan has made an inspection tour of the new King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) project in Jeddah. He visited the airport’s new air traffic control tower and load center building, which is designed to feed the passenger terminals with electricity and air conditioning. The visit was conducted to ensure there are no obstructions that affect the workflow and the required numbers of workers are deployed. The minister was accompanied by Bakr Binladin, general manager and chairman of the Binladen Group, technical experts and project managers. The board of directors of GACA recently reviewed a report on the latest updates on a number of ongoing projects, most importantly the KAIA project.
