Saudi amateurs of luxury SUVs finally get their special rendezvous opportunities with the all-new Audi Q7, following the presentation of its new generation to the Saudi press in Jeddah on the 6th and 7th of September at The Rock Jeddah.
Invited from all over the kingdom to test drive Audi's new premium SUV and experience its fullest potential on a number of terrains on and off road, the Saudi media were amazed by the subtle expression of power with refinement, roominess with agility, sports handling with tough capabilities and the latest driver assistance technologies in an elegant "piece of art on wheels".
Built with Audi's ASF multi-material concept, the 7-passenger Audi Q7 luxury SUV comes even lighter than its predecessor. Despite the generous body length (5.05m), width (1.97m) and wheelbase (2.99m), the unladen weight of the V6 3.0 TDI comes at 1,995 kg, lighter by up to 280 kg than the previous Saudi version.
Thanks to the lightweight materials in 41 percent of the body (aluminium doors, front fenders, hood, tailgate...) and other measures, the new V6 3.0 TFSI engine (333 hp) launches the new Q7 from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds (maximum speed is 250 km/h, electronically regulated), with the standard 8-speed tiptronic transmission and a combined fuel consumption of 7.9 litres/100km.
Karem Tas, Executive Director of Audi Saudi Arabia says: "The new Q7 is a major player in our leadership strategy for the premium car segment in Saudi Arabia. This goes hand in hand with the after sales and parts supply service quality that our discerning customers expect for the most luxurious and technically advanced cars in the market".
The new Q7 offers features such as electromechanical steering, all-wheel steering (same or opposite direction, depending on speed), quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension, new driver assistance systems, new infotainment, MMI navigation and other options for all passengers (Audi tablets with wifi for rear seat passengers), fast internet connection, new Audi smartphone interface compatibilities, LED and Matrix LED headlights, latest Bose and Bang & Olufsen Hi-Fi systems and many other standard and optional equipments.
Felix Enciso, Sales Director of Audi Saudi Arabia expects the new Q7 to "surprise even the most familiar customers with luxurious AWD SUVs, thanks to its exceptional combination of power, economy, agility, roominess and latest technologies".
For 35 years now, the quattro name represents Audi's German luxury, latest technology, high performance with the exceptional stability of its permanent all-wheel drive system.
