American University of Sharjah announces new Vice Provost for Student Life

Dr. Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo has been named as the new Vice Provost for Student Life at American University of Sharjah (AUS). Dr. Bardill Moscaritolo will officially commence her tenure at AUS in August, 2019.

 

Dr. Bardill Moscaritolo is currently the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean for Students at the Westchester Campus of Pace University, a large, nationally ranked private university in New York State in the U.S. Pace has three campuses, enrolling 13,000 students in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in more than 150 majors and programs, across a range of disciplines: arts, sciences, business, health care, technology, law, education, and more. Dr. Bardill Moscaritolo obtained her Doctorate of Philosophy in Leadership from Barry University in Florida in 1999, and has a Master’s of Science in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Florida State University.

 

Dr. Juan Sanchez, Provost and Chief Academic Officer at AUS says of Dr. Bardill Moscaritolo’s appointment:

 

“We are delighted to have Dr. Bardill Moscaritolo joining AUS as new Vice Provost for Student Life. She brings with her a wealth of international knowledge and experience in leading teams dedicated to the positive experience of university students. AUS is constantly looking at ways of enhancing the experience of students. We look forward to the impact Dr. Bardill Moscaritolo will have in this area, and welcome her to the university.” 

 

Dr. Bardill Moscaritolo says of her new position at AUS:

 

“I am thrilled to be joining AUS this August to be the next Vice Provost for Student Life. My visit with students, faculty, and administration, staff, in March, confirmed my excitement. I received a warm welcome from everyone I met. To work with an internationally diverse community is exactly what I envisioned for the next step in my career. I look forward to connecting with the community in the fall and working with the staff in student life and the students to make their experience rewarding and memorable.
