Americana subsidiary, Farm Frites partner on SAR 375M Riyadh French fry plant

The Agricultural Growth and Processing Co., a subsidiary of Americana Holding for Food Ltd, revealed a significant $100 million (SAR 375 million) investment in a frozen French fries manufacturing plant in Sudair City for Industry and Businesses, Riyadh.

In a press statement cited by Argaam, Americana said that this investment is in partnership with Farm Frites, a global leader in potato cultivation and frozen French fry production. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Nov. 25 in Sudair City for Industry and Businesses, marking the start of construction.

The new plant will cover an area of over 100,000 square meters and feature state-of-the-art machinery and modern technology for producing frozen French fries and other potato products. The factory is set to open in the first quarter of 2026, with an initial production capacity of 70,000 metric tons, and future expansion plans in place.

Americana highlighted that this strategic investment supports Saudi Vision 2030 by diversifying the Kingdom's economy, enhancing food security through local manufacturing, and creating new job opportunities for Saudi citizens and local potato farmers.
