Dar Al-Hekma University graduates continue to make a strong impact in the Kingdom’s entrepreneurship landscape, thanks to the excellent and high-quality academic programs at the university. Many of the graduates have contributed to the advancement and enhancement of the knowledge-based economy and made impressive accomplishments in the business world.
Rawan Khogeer is one of the pioneer students who, after graduating from the Visual Communication School in 2018, received the Second Visual Communication Award Outstanding Graduate Award and started a successful business.
Dr. Suhair Hassan Al-Qurashi, President of Dar Al-Hekma University, celebrated recently with Rawan the first year anniversary of Rawan Stationery Store opening. The celebration was attended by the Visual Communication faculty, staff and many of the current students some of whom are vendors and suppliers at the store.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Suhair Al-Qurashi said, “We are happy to be part of Rawan’s business success, which, if anything, is a proof for the excellent academic programs the university offers for different specializations. A large number of our graduates have been successful after graduation and some have started projects that continue to contribute positively to the development of society socially and economically in line with Vision 2030. Rawan is no doubt another shining example of Dar Al-Hekma students’ capabilities.”
The Visual Communication School is the first of its kind across the Kingdom and boasts state-of-the-art laboratories, software, studios and facilities as well as specialized academic programs to keep students up to date with the global practices in the field and equip them with strong and robust skills that empower them and make them compete in global markets, Dr. Al-Qurashi explained.
Thanking Dar Al-Hekma President and the Visual Communication School staff and students who showed up for the celebration, Rawan said she was appreciative of the continuous encouragement inside and outside the walls of Dar Al-Hekma. She thanked Dr. Suhair Al-Qurashi for always spurring students on to achieve more and encourage them to stand out from the crowd despite her busy schedule.
Rawan Khogeer opened her store over a year ago and the store proved to be a successful business, offering various services such as packaging, gift-wrapping and selective greeting cards. The stationery acts as an innovative platform for Arab designers in the region and gives them a chance to showcase their works on the cards.
