Enabling more innovation in the mobility sector was the focus of the first ‘Future of Mobility’ Conference organised in partnership with the Clean Energy Business Council, at the new Renault R-Store on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
Arabian Automobiles, the flagship company of the AW Rostamani Group and the exclusive dealer for Renault in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, welcomed leading industry figures in the green and electric mobility sector for the event, which was the first public event organised by the Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC) for its dedicated new ‘Future Mobility Council.’
A working group under CEBC, the Future Mobility Council focuses on different modes of mobility with the goal of tackling the challenges in current regulations and policies, infrastructure, and community awareness to drive more innovation in the mobility sector.
At the event, Nick Vinckier of Duval Union Consulting, delivered a key note speech highlighting the seven key trends that are shaping the future of mobility and the important role technology plays in shaping them. Two panel discussions were also held on the challenges and opportunities in the mobility sector. While the first discussed the current infrastructure and the regulatory environment, the second provided in-depth insights on the need to drive community awareness to promote the usage of electric cars.
Arabian Automobiles highlighted the two electric vehicle models that are currently available including the Renault ZOE and Renault TWIZY, which are gaining popularity among the environment-conscious, discerning customers.
