the Middle East region, Audi Middle East has launched a once in a lifetime opportunity to nominate an Audi challenge that will become a reality for their fans. The first challenge took place at the Dubai Autodrome. History in the making for 10 Audi Fans from all over the region. At the Audi R8 adrenaline challenge Audi Middle East got their pulse racing.
More than 4,000 challenges have been submitted to date. And more than 40 fans dared Audi Middle East with an Audi R8 challenge. The Audi fans who submitted the first ten R8 challenges were invited to be part of the Audi R8 adrenaline challenge at the Dubai Autodrome. A day that got their pulse racing, but dared them to stay calm. A professional Audi racing driver took them around the track and the participant who kept his cool won an all expenses paid trip to Germany to participate in an Audi R8 LMS driving experience.
After a day packed with adrenaline at the Audi driving experience in the bespoke Audi R8, the heartrate of all participants was measured by a medical professional before they got into the Audi R8 V10 for some hot laps. Joseph Abillamah was the calmest guy on the track. His heartrate increased by only 10% during the adrenaline ride. The 30 year-old from Lebanon who calls Dubai his home now tried not to think about what’s happening: “I talked to the driver all the time and I ate a lot for lunch, just to keep my calm”, says Joseph Abillahmah. “I had a fantastic day and I cannot wait to go to Germany. I’ve never been on a racetrack before and it was an amazing experience. And one day I will fulfill my dream and own an Audi R8”, he continues.
Chayne Brand, Marketing Director of Audi Middle East, adds: “Audi’s philosophy of ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ dictates that we challenge convention and push boundries. #AudiChallengesArabia has been a fantastic effort which demonstrates how our fans and customers share this spirit.”
Joseph Abillamah is already thinking about how he can challenge Audi next. But he did not want to make it known yet. “I have something in mind, but I cannot disclose it today. Let’s just put it this way: Every day is a challenge.”
