Audi participated in the show with a collection of its luxury and sports cars which included; the Audi S8, the all new Audi Q7, RS7, TTS and A6.
During the opening ceremony, the Audi Q7 received the award of “Best Luxury SUV”, as selected unanimously by members of the media committee of the EXCS motor show. The award was handed to Mr. Naif Al-Sudairy, CEO of Volkswagen Group Saudi Arabia. Commenting on this occasion Mr. Al-Sudairy said, “Audi’s participation in the luxury car show stems from our desire to engage in direct contact with our customers, and the opportunity the show gives us to present our luxury products to all of the visitors. In addition to introducing them to the varied color and specification options which can meet their needs and aspirations for a more personalized car.”
In light of this occasion, Mr. Kerem Tas, Executive Director of Audi in Saudi Arabia commented saying: “The new Audi Q7 is a major player in our strategy to gain leadership in the premium car segment in Saudi Arabia. In addition to our recent success stories with our new products, it is important that we keep on growing in all segments. For example our luxury A8 L sales in the Kingdom are one of the highest in the world.
We constantly strive to be the leaders in the sale of luxury cars in Saudi Arabia, and to continuously meet our customer’s expectation while enhancing their experience and after sale services in the Kingdom.
The new generation Audi Q7 boasts a fantastic design which combines power and precision in addition to its robustness and sports capabilities. Its cabin features ample space and luxury to be enjoyed by 7 passengers, a fact that qualified Q7 to win the “Best interior design” prize awarded by the German Auto Design Board during Frankfurt Auto Show 2015 held last month.
Despite the Q7’s big body size, width, and wheelbase the unladed weight comes at 1,995 kg, lighter by up to 325 kg than the previous version sold in the Saudi Market.
The new Audi Q7 also sets new standards when it comes to operating concept, infotainment and connectivity.
The new Q7 is a combination of power with refinement, roominess with liveliness, sports handling with strong capabilities and the latest driver assistance technologies in a sophisticated "piece of art on wheels".
