Cabinet approves Zakat, Tax and Customs Committees rules

The Cabinet approved the work rules for Zakat, Tax and Customs Committees, Umm Al-Qura newspaper reported on Oct. 27.

Under the decision, the decisions of adjudication and appeal departments would be final and not subject to challenge before any other judicial body.

In addition, the board of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) was granted the authority to determine the financial rewards for members of the customs dispute settlement committees. The rewards should be similar to those of the Tax Committees for Resolution of Tax Violations and Disputes.
