The Cabinet on Monday approved the name of Ministry of Education instead the Ministry of Higher Education and minister of education instead of the minister of higher education wherever those names are mentioned in regulations, decrees, decisions, orders and instructions, said Culture and Information Minister Adel Al-Toraifi.

It appointed Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Suwailem, Salah bin Rashid Al-Rashid and Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Bawardi as members of the Arriyadh Development Authority for three years. Khaled bin Abdullah Al-Zamil and Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Afaleq have been named members of the board of the Eastern Province Development Authority for three years.
The Council of Ministers authorized the finance minister to sign a draft agreement on the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.


The meeting renewed the membership of Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Awad on the board of directors of the Saudi Fund for Development for three years and appointed Prince Khaled bin Saud bin Khaled, Moaid bin Isa Al-Qurtas and Omar bin Ahmed Bahulaiwa as the fund’s board members.
The Cabinet also approved the board of directors of Al-Maqar Company for Development, which will be chaired by the Madinah mayor. It endorsed an agreement with Uruguay for political consultations between foreign ministries.

The Cabinet appointed Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Hogail security consultant at the Interior Ministry; Tariq bin Abdullah Al-Naeem undersecretary for internal trade at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Mohammed bin Talal Simsim undersecretary for planning and development at the Ministry of Haj; Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al-Shabanat legal expert-A and Mohammed bin Abdul Malik Daheesh legal expert-B at the Cabinet’s Experts Commission; and Abdul Aziz bin Fahd Saeed director general of Asir branch of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.
