Canon helps businesses address their total cost of print with new imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3300 series
Canon Middle East, world leader in imaging solutions, today announces the launch of its new flagship A3 colour multifunctional devices (MFDs) – the imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3320, C3320i, C3325i and C3330i. The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3300 series combines Canon’s award-winning smart MFD platform with enhanced document handling and new print engine to reduce the total cost of documents in busy office environments. Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East, comments: “Research shows that 90% of the total cost of print and documents is actually is related to print management and administration (15%) as well as document production (25%) and handling (50%); and not the cost of a device or consumables.* Canon sees this as the greatest opportunity for operational efficiencies. With this is mind, we have designed the new series to address to these challenges through seamless document capture workflows, easy publishing and consistent management efficiency.”
Efficient document workflows The large customisable touchscreen interface combined with the intuitive imageRUNNER ADVANCE operation speeds up workflows and provides a consistent user experience across fleets. Users can rapidly scan to various destinations and convert documents into a range of formats including Office Open XML PPT and Word. Support for mobile working such as printing from mobiles as well as scanning to cloud services ensures on-the-move productivity. Dynamic print and document capture workflows are possible thanks to the smart MEAP and MEAP web application platforms which seamlessly integrate with existing IT environments to optimise end-to-end processes. Easy, high quality in-house publishing Professional-looking documents including booklets can be produced automatically and in-house while Canon’s new V2 (Vivid & Vibrant) imaging technology delivers impressive colours to help businesses stand out from the competition. A new compact Inner finisher combines both traditional stapling and eco-stapling in one to reduce waste as well as simplify recycling and shredding. Easy management and administration The costly administrative and management burden of print is removed through automatic toner management, remote diagnostics and automatic meter collection. For the first time, built-in video assistance guides end users to reduce down time. For larger fleets, all imageRUNNER ADVANCE models can now be centrally managed, configured and updated remotely in a consistent and efficient manner. Improved security The new MFDs offer scalable security, including standard functions such as secure erase and user-based restrictions as well as reporting with Canon’s award winning Universal Login Manager (ULM). Canon’s advanced uniFLOW software offers further security control to address the needs of more demanding environments, such as My-Print-Anywhere and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) of prints, copies and scans. The new devices consume less than one watt of energy during sleep mode and are Energy Star certified, which gives them some of the lowest TEC ratings in the office device industry. “With the addition of these four new compact A3 models, Canon can offer best-fit document capture and output solutions for any office environment with a complete and consistent range of mono, colour, A4 and A3 devices”, concluded Verbrugghe.
