CEDA discusses economic issues

The Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA) discussed the December economic report, presented by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, during a virtual meeting.
 

The report included an analysis of the latest global economic developments, challenges facing the global economy, their impact on emerging markets, and the implications for the national economy. It highlighted the Kingdom's ability to confront these challenges, supported by notable improvements in the non-oil sector and industrial activities, as part of ongoing efforts to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
 

The council also discussed the Q3 2024 report on Vision 2030 realization programs.

this report showcased key achievements, strategic objectives, and an overview of program performance. It also reviewed ongoing efforts and future aspirations. The report, presented by the Strategic Management Office of the Council, indicated continued significant progress across Vision 2030’s three themes: a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation, during the third quarter of this year.
 

Additionally, CEDA reviewed a presentation from the National Center for Performance Measurement (Adaa), providing a comprehensive overview of the performance of public entities during Q3 2024. The presentation included initiatives to support and empower public entities in achieving Vision 2030’s goals, results of national strategy performance evaluations, and future outlooks. It emphasized Adaa’s ongoing efforts to assist ministries and public entities through performance review sessions and strategic planning to enhance government performance and achieve set targets.
 

The meeting also covered the summary report of the Consumer Price Index for October 2024, the Wholesale Price Index report for the same period, and the executive summary of foreign trade for September 2024, along with the key underlying reports.
 

CEDA made the necessary decisions and recommendations on these topics.
