The UAE-based company have signed deals for over AED 2 million and in process of signing management contract for third-party owned properties
City Seasons Hotels have concluded their participation in Arabian Travel Market this year on a high note. Not only the deals signed at the 4-day event have crossed the 2 million dirhams in confirmed revenue but other talks are in the pipeline to double these sales in the months to come.
“We have had a very successful show this year’, said George Demitry, Group General Manager of City Seasons Hotels.
As per the show organizers, there has been an increase of 12 to 15 % over last year from a participation point of view. The halls have been spread to accommodate new comers and distribute the travel industry according to specialties and wider geography.
“An efficient sales strategy backed up by a strictly organized presence at the stand over four days had turned our team into a very efficient unit which has borne fruit. Moreover our presence for the 3rd consecutive year, in a prime location ensured visibility as well as great exposure’, added Demitry.
The group of hotels have announced the opening of their 7th property – the 3rd for Dubai- during a press conference held on the show grounds which also attracted hotel owners and private investors who are seeking hotel operators with a steady record. City Seasons Hotels’ successful leadership in the dry-hotel segment is a great example to follow- with some of their hotels scoring up to 32 % of the total revenue in their Food & Beverage operation.
“Our increase in GOP over the past 5 years is at an annual average of 12 %. This is a brilliant result in our industry, taking into account the challenges with traditional feeder markets and business travel,’ claimed George Demitry.
“Of course we have withered difficulties like all industry professionals and we have managed to turn more opportunities to our advantage most of the time. This is due to the unfailing support of the owner Sheikh Ahmed Musallam Bin Ham and the synergy of the team whose bring a diversity of international experience and some of the members have been working together since the group launched 10 years ago,” Demitry concluded.
The Hotel Group has now been invited to look into managing third-party properties as dry-hotels inside Dubai and one bigger project in a Mediterranean country to be announced soon.
