Day Surgery Center Accreditation Support In The United Arab Emirates

Following the continued downward trend in the COVID-19 cases around the world, most medical establishments have started returning to normalcy. Many countries have eased stay-at-home restrictions and have supported the systematic re-opening of surgery centers and permitted them to conduct non-urgent and elective procedures.

The same is true within the UAE, specifically, in centers across the emirate of Dubai which have been cleared to operate with a reduced schedule and enhanced sanitation measures. This certainly marks a significant step in UAE’s road to recovery from the pandemic.

In light of the recent positive developments, the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) has resumed normal survey operations while continuing to monitor the COVID-19 trends and supervise local events within the environment, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both surveyors and center staff.

Now that centers have made it through the uncertainty created by the global pandemic, the focus can return to achieving accreditation. AAAASF is proud to announce that nearly 15 centers in Dubai have begun the accreditation process or are now fully accredited.

We invite centers that have begun the application process with AAAASF and centers interested in AAAASF accreditation to join us for virtual office hours to answer any questions you may have about your application process, onsite survey, and what to expect when it comes to maintaining accreditation.  Sign up for Virtual Office Hours at http://aaaasf.org/OfficeHours.
