Dubai Customs managed to make the passengers of Dubai airports happier through the continual development of customs services. 94% of the participants in the latest (Think-Innovate-Win) campaign, launched by the Passenger Operation Department at Dubai Customs as part of the UAE innovation Week 2016, expressed their happiness over the quality of services rendered to them.
More than 800 passengers, officials and employees took part in the 4-day (Think-Innovate-Win) campaign (from 20th to 24th November 2016) at Terminals 1 and 3 at Dubai International Airport. The participants shared their suggestions on how best to improve customs services in Dubai airports.
The campaign saw a good participation as well from senior officials who shared their suggestions and ideas. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs launched the campaign at the inauguration of Innovation Festival organized by Dubai Customs during the Innovation UAE Week 2016 in the presence of Brigadier Pilot Ahmad Mohammad bin Thani, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Ports Affairs at Dubai Police, Col. Talal Al Shanqiti, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Airports Affairs, Ali Ankiza, Head of Air Cargo Security Office, Abdullah Al Khaja, Executive Director of Customer Management Division at Dubai Customs, David Wang, Huawei UAE CEO, and Ibrahim Ali Al Kamali, Passenger Operation Director – Acting, Dubai Customs, plus a number of senior inspectors and Dubai customs employees.
Commenting on the event, Al kamali said:
“The campaign saw a great turnout. Everybody was enthusiastic and happy to share their suggestions and ideas to develop customs services at the airports. We are all ready for the upcoming phase which is expected to witness a busier travel and tourism activity in Dubai thanks to the wise vision and strategic planning of our leadership which focuses on economic diversity and sustainability.
We at Dubai Customs seek the best possible way to support and develop economic sectors especially external trade, tourism and travel sectors”.
