Deliveroo Raises AED 136,000 for Emirates Red Crescent

Deliveroo – the region's premier food delivery service – has successfully raised AED 136,000 through its Ramadan campaign with Emirates Red Crescent. These funds will be allocated to support the vital humanitarian work of the Red Crescent Authority in the UAE.

 

Anis Harb, General Manager of Deliveroo G.C.C., commented: "We would like to thank all of our customers for helping us raise such a significant amount for Emirates Red Crescent, which provides humanitarian and charitable support to the underprivileged across the Emirates. We are delighted to be upholding the values of Ramadan and supporting UAE’s Year of Giving in a meaningful way. At this important time of year, it has been uplifting to see everyone uniting in the spirit of charity.”

The campaign reflected the values ​​of good for the month of Ramadan by providing customers with the opportunity to donate one or more meals to Emirates Red Crescent by placing an order through the app or website.

 

Mohammad Al Zarouni, Director of Emirates Red Crescent Dubai commented: "We are always happy to work with our new partners and Deliveroo has shown a high commitment to adopting community responsibility and interest in our humanitarian partnership programs. Such cooperation is necessary to strengthen our mission and achieve success when we all act as a unified spirit. We would like to express our gratitude to Deliveroo and their restaurant partners for joining us and inspiring the good spirit of the holy month. The funds raised will truly change lives”




 

The Year of Giving initiative highlights the importance of CSR activities and encourages public and private sector companies to fulfil their community responsibilities through community outreach programs. Deliveroo is implementing a large-scale community responsibility program that supports these values. Funds raised during their Emirates Red Crescent campaign will be used to support charitable initiatives at the local level.
