Dentistry conference set on March 22 in Makkah

Emir of Makkah Prince Khalid Al-Faisal is sponsoring the 13th International Dentistry Conference to be held here on March 22. The head of the conference, Dr. Mishari Al-Otaibi of Security Forces Hospital, said the event is organized by the Saudi Society for Dentistry. “The conference will be held over three days at Vermont Hotel next to the Grand Mosque. The conference will celebrate the 25 years of the first International Dentistry Conference organized by the society,” said Al-Otaibi.

He said the conference has gained a prestigious status among sponsors and strategic partners.

“The conference hosts the top personas in the field of dentistry from all over the world, including speakers from Arab and Islamic countries, the US, Britain, Sweden and Canada,” said Al-Otaibi.

He said there are a number of Saudi consultants and professors presenting at the conference as well. “The conference explores six main topics over a span of three days. There is a total of 18 lectures, nine workshops and 100 scientific posters. The conference will discuss the latest technology available in dental treatment, teeth implant, dentures, mouth, face and jaw surgery, pediatric dentistry and braces,” said Al-Otaibi.

He said the conference will have an exhibition showcasing the latest technology in dentistry.

“The conference is known for its unique digital services. Through its website: http://makkahdentalmeeting.org, attendees can benefit from all of the information presented at the conference, which is also active on social media,” said Al-Otaibi.

He said through the conference’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, attendees can interact with organizers, speakers and the entire practice community.

“I would like to thank His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal for sponsoring the event. His encouragement and interest shows that he supports advancements in all sciences. It is only fitting that the advancement of a medical field is held near the Grand Mosque in the holy city where the religion of enlightenment was born,” said Al-Otaibi.
