Belgian-born DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike got over 13,000 fans bouncing last night at King Abdullah Economic City’s Saudi International gig.
The award-winning brothers made history with their second performance in the Kingdom bringing a catalogue of theirglobal anthemic hits including Higher Place, Tremor and Mammoth and The Anthem (Der Alte).
“What a crazy venue, crazy backdrop, Saudi Arabia is bouncing! We hopefully gave you a night to remember. We want to keep giving our fans these incredible moments with our music and delivering lifelong memories. Saudi Arabia is a beautiful country” said Dimitri Vegas.
The pair paid tribute to basketball legend Kobe Bryant during their performance as they joined the rest of the globe in mourning the death of the five time NBA Champion. Like Mike donned a Lakers shirt during the gig with Bryant’s name lit up on the KAEC Arena stage.
Earlier in the night Italian DJ Marco Carola joined the duo to performing one of his renowned electronic sets that electrified fans.
Tonight sees an eclectic mix of global music stars performing in KAEC that span the generations. Rock icon Bryan Adams and Grammy Award–winning DJ Zedd make their debut in the Kingdom as they are set to keep the crowds in rhythm all night. Bringing down the curtain on Saudi International’s epic lineup, Latin sensations Gipsy Kings and Luis Fonsi will make the crowds swing, salsa and dance on 1 February as they perform some of their greatest and most iconic hits.
The concerts form part of Saudi International’s Ultimate Day Out that includes world class golf with some of the best players on the planet on show at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club this weekend.
Tickets are now on sale priced at 50 SAR per day or 160 SAR for a full tournament pass (four days). Exclusive concert tickets start at 75 SAR.
