DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences hosted an exclusive Pre-Iftar event, welcoming well-known local food bloggers, media representatives, and valued partners to preview the hotel’s Ramadan Iftar buffet before its official launch.
The event offered guests a delightful evening filled with traditional Ramadan dishes and international favorites, all carefully prepared by the hotel’s expert culinary team. The inviting atmosphere provided an opportunity for attendees to experience the flavors and warm hospitality that define the hotel's Ramadan celebrations.
As part of Hilton’s Green Ramadan Initiative, the hotel reinforced its commitment to sustainability by implementing measures to minimize food waste and promote responsible dining. The initiative aligns with Hilton’s Travel With Purpose 2030 goals to integrate a food waste reduction program in every kitchen. With reports from UNEP highlighting a 25-50% increase in food waste during religious festivities, Hilton has been taking proactive steps to drive awareness about sustainable gastronomy, local sourcing, and AI-powered food waste tracking through Winnow’s technology.
First launched in 2023 with three hotels across the Middle East, Hilton's Green Ramadan Initiative achieved a remarkable 61% reduction in food waste in just 30 days. In 2024, the program expanded to 32 hotels across 7 countries in EMEA & APAC, resulting in a further 21% reduction against the 2023 baseline. DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square is proud to be part of this initiative, contributing to Hilton’s vision of a net zero future.

Fresh on Table is proud to support Hilton’s sustainability efforts this Ramadan. As a key partner in Hilton’s sustainability mission in the UAE, Fresh on Table is helping to reduce food waste in creative ways. One of the main initiatives is using whole lambs to ensure that nothing goes to waste—from the meat to the bones, which add extra flavor and nutrition. Another innovation is turning date seeds into a unique coffee blend, offering an eco-friendly way to make the most of natural ingredients. These efforts reflect a shared commitment to responsible dining and mindful consumption during the holy month.
The Pre-Iftar event featured live cooking stations, an array of traditional Arabic cuisines and sweets, and classic Ramadan beverages. Guests were particularly impressed with the authentic flavors, artistic presentation, and the hotel's commitment to sustainability.
The Ramadan Iftar buffet will officially launch on 28th February or 1st March 2025 at The Spice Tree restaurant and will be available daily from sunset until 9:00 PM throughout the holy month.
