Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the Emirate’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage, has continued its ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the UAE’s growing heritage scene by providing craftsmen and women to take part in Dubai Mall’s event. The event ran from 10th to 30th in September and was also held this month from 09th to the 12th. The event was designed to celebrate the UAE’s rich history by reaching out to the community via a range of engaging heritage workshops and cultural activities.
The event showcased traditional crafts including coffee making, Al Talli embroidery making, and silver engraving, which attendees enjoyed watching created live in front of them by skilled artisans. Dubai Culture’s contribution to the event’s success reflects the Authority’s commitment to supporting local craftsmen and ensuring these arts are never lost, which is an important part of its wider mandate to preserve UAE heritage and pass it onto future generations.
Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the Emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The Authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors.
