In the presence of Sultan bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman & CEO and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, and a number of senior of directors and managers at the Department, Dubai Customs organized a gathering to celebrate its wins in Dubai Government Excellence Programme (DGEP).
Dubai Customs obtained 614 as an overall score. Ahmed Anbar Al Flasi, an inspection officer bagged an innovation award, and Obeid Hassan Al Kabi, an inspection officer at Hatta Customs received Dubai Medal as the best field officer.
On the occasion Sultan bin Sulayem praised the great efforts Dubai Customs staff exerted to help the Department achieve this high competitive status. He also highlighted the huge progress the Department achieved in facilitating trade and improving services following the wise vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Bin Sulayem said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum focuses always on developing the human capital in the UAE, and that positivity can lead to more productivity and success.
On his part, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said attaining 614 on overall score indicates Dubai Customs’ good progress and competitive status as one of the leading government departments in the UAE.
