Dubai Customs announced its readiness to receive the pilgrims coming back to the UAE after their pilgrimage. A work plan was set up that will facilitate and simplify the customs routine without compromising the security side.
Passenger Operations Department has taken a number of procedures in the three airport terminals to make pilgrims entry a hassle free, simple experience. This included coordination with airlines companies and reschedule annual leaves of customs employees, plus requisition of more inspectors from other sections for more support and control. The plan will also include provision of smart applications such as the smart customs clearance vehicle to serve people of determination (Special Needs) and the elderly.
The pilgrimage committee at Dubai Airports had held a meeting with a number of strategic partners which included Passenger Operations Department, FlyDubai, The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Saudi Airlines, Dnata, Dubai Taxi, and Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services. All details and schedules of pilgrimage were discussed during the meeting.
