Dubai Customs is organizing the second edition of its Customs Week on 22nd through 26th January 2017, under the theme “Customer Happiness”. The event is planned to concur with the International Customs Day due to be held on January 26.
The 2nd Customs Week’s program of events consists of a variety of exhibitions, lectures, workshops and awareness sessions for customers, passengers as well as the general public across different air, sea and land Customs centers. The goal is to bring all stakeholders and the community closer to the Customs job as well as the critical role it plays in facilitating trade, supporting economic development, and keeping the society safe and secure.
The main highlight of this year’s Customs Week activities is a one-day seminar on Customs work in the United Arab Emirates to kick start the weeklong events. The seminar will bring together officials from the Federal Customs Authority and Customs Administrations from other emirates.
Fun-filled outreach activities will take place in shopping malls to better interact with all segments of the society and raise their awareness of what Dubai Customs does to ensure protection against the perils of illegitimate trade and promote economic growth in the country.
Meanwhile, several educational trips will be arranged for school and university students to get new generations firsthand acquainted with Customs role in society and how they can contribute to help facilitate that mission.
