Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) has announced the release of the eighth edition of its ‘Emirates Law, Business & Practice’ magazine, which focuses on the regulation and quality of technology in the UAE and abroad. The magazine includes a comprehensive media interview on this important subject with His Excellency Talal Belhoul, Chairman of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) in the UAE.
Among other topics, the magazine also highlights investment privileges in Dubai and the UAE, which are governed by clear laws and regulations that have made Dubai a respected international hub for investor confidence. The magazine aims to raise awareness and confidence in the nation’s laws, promote knowledge among those employed in the legal field, and strengthen the UAE’s reputation as a safe environment for living, investing and working.
His Excellency Justice Dr. Jamal Al Sumaiti, Director General of DJI, commented: “Our magazine reflects our mission to uphold the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to create a credible and transparent investment climate for both investors and legal experts. This is an important part of the Dubai Government's plan for 2021 and particularly its objective of enhancing people’s lives, which centres on making Dubai the safest city in the world and a place that leaves a positive impression on citizens, residents and visitors alike. To achieve this vision, it is important to show that our authorities are capable of dealing efficiently, professionally and transparently with all matters related to the security of the individual or our society.”
Al Sumaiti added: “Since the first edition, ‘Emirates Law, Business & Practice’ magazine has aimed to address legal and legislative developments in the UAE and cross the globe. Thanks to the hard work and efforts of the editorial team, the magazine has evolved into a leading legal and economic platform across both the private and public sector. The aim of ‘Emirates Law, Business & Practice’ is to be an international legal magazine that makes a significant contribution to legal debate and provides its readers with a wide selection of relevant law disciplines, addressing various aspects of law. Through expert insights and comparative analysis, the magazine spreads awareness and understanding of the UAE’s legal environment among overseas investors and their advisers. Each issue focuses on a theme of specific interest to the legal community and investors, serving as an excellent reference point. ‘Emirates Law Business & Practice’ has created an unprecedented legal forum within the UAE, enabling legal practitioners across the in-house, private and governmental sectors to learn from, and be inspired by, each other through two main common goals: technical legal excellence and the promotion of the UAE as a global legal services hub.”
In every edition of the magazine, several topics of interest are covered by authors who are experts in their field, working under the umbrella of the magazine’s advisory board, which is composed of top tier local and international law firms. Through the development of its website and the circulation of electronic and hardcopies across the US, Europe, the wider Middle East and the Far East, the magazine’s reach has become wider than ever. As such, ‘Emirates Law Business & Practice’ has provided a conduit for the legal practice to develop, connect and share knowledge internationally.
