Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) welcomed a delegation from the Military Justice of the Republic of South Korea in coordination with the UAE Military Justice. HE Justice Dr Jamal Al Sumaiti, Director General of DJI, welcomed the delegation headed by HE Lee Dong, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Korean Armed Forces.
Al Sumaiti said: “This visit reflects the friendly and strong relationship between the UAE and the Republic of South Korea as well as the long-standing economic and trade partnership between both nations and the ways to strengthen it. During the visit, the role of DJI and its pioneering experience in the UAE and the region in disseminating legal and judicial knowledge among target audiences in public and private sectors was highlighted within the framework of its main strategic objectives.
Al Sumaiti stressed the importance of these visits and their positive effects in exchanging knowledge and informing UAE visitors of best practices in various judicial and legal fields. He briefed the visiting delegation on DJI’s activities and services, including a diploma programme in legal and judicial sciences for members of the UAE’s armed forces as well as several specialised courses and various timely publications that are distributed internationally.
At the end of the visit, the Korean delegation expressed its thanks to DJI for its hospitality and reception and opened the door for the exchange of specialised experiences.
The relations between the UAE and the Republic of South Korea are considered a remarkable model for the benefit of the people for the development and stability, peace, and international security. These relations are based on trust and mutual respect and the willingness of the parties to cooperate in all vital and strategic areas.
