Emirates Airline Foundation unveils dedicated A380 livery

Emirates has introduced a new A380 livery to raise awareness of the Emirates Airline Foundation’s humanitarian work, which has transformed the lives of thousands of children worldwide.

The livery’s design is inspired by the Emirates Airline Foundation’s logo, featuring children’s artwork with pastel stars in light green, warm orange, baby blue, and soft pink across the fuselage. It carries a message that encapsulates the Foundation’s mission, “Help to support children in need.”

The engine cowls of the A380 are painted in warm orange, symbolising a brighter future for disadvantaged children. The aircraft is heading to Johannesburg today, where the Foundation supports two key projects.

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the Emirates Airline Foundation is a non-profit charity providing humanitarian aid and essential services for children, aiming to create a meaningful and lasting impact in the communities it serves.

Over the last twenty years, the Foundation has supported over 50 projects, partnering with community organisations and NGOs to provide safe housing, food, medical care, and education for children, regardless of their background or location. Funding is made possible by donations from Emirates customers, donors, and employees.

The Foundation currently supports 14 NGOs in 9 countries, including the Emirates-CHES Home for 100 abandoned HIV-positive children, the IMMPACT Girls Education Project in India, and the Prithipura Communities in Sri Lanka. It has also funded the Emirates Friendship Hospital in Bangladesh, providing healthcare to over 650,000 people living in poverty.

In Kenya, the Foundation supports the Little Prince Nursery and Primary School, Alfajiri Street Kids, and Starehe Boys’ Centre, which provide education, rehabilitation, and support for vulnerable children. The Foundation sponsors scholarships for underprivileged boys at Starehe Boys’ Centre.

In the Republic of Korea, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Brazil, the Foundation focuses on education and healthcare for children, supporting organisations such as the Fikelela Children’s Centre, Singakwenza, St Marcellin’s Children’s Village, Saint Rita de Cassia Orphanage, and Externato Sao Francisco de Assis.

In Dubai, the Foundation supports the SAFE Centre for Autism, which offers a safe and inclusive environment for children with complex learning difficulties.

Last year, the Foundation also issued over 500 flight tickets on Emirates for volunteers conducting medical, engineering, and education missions globally. These missions included providing surgeries and healthcare services in countries such as India, Uganda, Lebanon, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia.
